시카고메디칼센터의 성형외과 레지던트 6년차이신 Hope Xu 선생님이 교육프로그램으로 2025년 11월 초에 수아이성형외과를 방문하셨습니다. 

University of Chicago medical center의 정식 요청으로 파견오셨네요. 

Dr. Hope Xu, a sixth-year plastic surgery resident at the University of Chicago Medical Center, visited us for a training program in early November 2025.

She was dispatched at the University of Chicago Medical Center’s formal request.

인상적인 점은 레지던트를 외국에 파견할 때도 경우에 따라 백만불의 보험이 적용되도록 한다는 점입니다. 우리나라 레지던트 선생님들도 이런 제도로 보호가 될 수 있다면 좋겠네요.

(2026년에는 2025년 5년차인 선생님이 6년차가 되어 방문예정이라고 합니다.)

What’s impressive is that, in some cases, residents are covered by a $1 million insurance policy when they are dispatched overseas. It would be great if Korean residents could also benefit from this system.
